SARI PART-66: The Civil Aviation Authorities of South Asian Regional Initiative (SARI) members (From SAARC Countries) have agreed to a common comprehensive and detailed aviation requirements, with a view to make it compatible for maintenance carried out in one Member State to be accepted by the Civil Aviation Authority in another Member State. Requirements for Issuance of Aircraft Maintenance License of personnel involved in the maintenance of large aircraft or of aircraft used for commercial air transport, and components intended for fitment thereto are prescribed in SARI Part-66 and which is common in all SAARC Countries. EASA Part 66 has been selected as base to provide basic structure of SARI Part-66 license. From early 2013 instead of LWTR License SARI Part-66 License will be issued in Bangladesh and other SAARC countries.
